Who needs CPR Training ?

 

Everyone.

Medical

BLS for Healthcare providers is required. We have customized training for multiple medical facilities with scenarios common in the medical field. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. BLS CPR course is typically 4 hours in length, depending on number of participants and knowledge. Once you have trained with us, the renewal class can be shorter in length. Renewal online option is also available.

 

Manufacturing

Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid is recommended. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. We have customized training that can include: how to complete an incident report, coverage of specific company policies, first aid kit education, eyewash station education, and scenarios based on common injuries in your specific workplace.

 

Daycare

Heartsaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid required. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. We have customized training for in-home or centers that allows for multiple scenarios specific to daycare situations.

 

Churches

Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid are recommended for church workers. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. We have customized training for churches that allows for multiple scenarios specific to large group gatherings.

 

Parents / Grandparents

Heartsaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid are recommended. There are certification and non-certification levels available. We have customized training to fit your child’s age and specific health issues.

 

Schools

Heartsaver k-12 CPR, AED, First Aid are recommended for school teachers and staff. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. We have customized training for schools that allows for multiple scenarios specific to a large group and pediatric gatherings. 

 

Lifeguards / Water Sports

Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid are required. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. We have customized training for water rescue involving scenarios for multiple different sports and pool/lake situations.

 

Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts

Heartsaver CPR, AED, First Aid are required. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. We have customized training for boy/girl scout leaders involving scenarios for multiple different events and outings.

 

 

Dental

BLS for Healthcare providers is required. We have customized training for the dental profession that allows for multiple scenarios common in the dental field. American Heart Association certification is good for 2 years. 

 

 

 

 

 


When crises are approached in a calm, rational manner, often difficult situations can be defused. Before an assault or a physical confrontation occurs, and before a situation becomes unmanageable, the potential for danger can be reduced and the people involved can be defended and protected.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of the fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.

completion of forty-eight (48) hours of In-Service Training/Continuing Education Units (CEUs)  within your two (2) year certification period.  A minimum of twelve (12) of the forty-eight (48) hours shall be completed in each year of the two (2) year certification period.  A maximum of twenty-four (24) of the forty-eight (48) hours may be obtained only through a CDPH-approved online computer training program.
